Nice books...

Living with the Himalayan Masters by Swami Rama -Early life history of Swami Rama in his own words. Very interesting and inspiring.

The Riddle: Where Ideas Come From and How to Have Better Ones by Andrew Razeghi - New look at ideas and their origin and how to ideate more effectively.

Chief of Station, Congo: Fighting the Cold War in a Hot Zone by Larry Devlin - Probably one and only one memoir written by any CIA Chief of Station. Deevlin took over as the Chief of Station of CIA in Congo (Belgian Congo) on the day of a fresh coup there. He could not even get there directly from Europe. He went to other Congo (French Congo) on the other bank of Congo river and then took a ferry to assume his role. If your new job starts with a coup, you can only imagine how the rest of the tenure can be. Wonderful book. All that you wanted to know about how Lumumba was disposed off, how Belgian Congo became Zaire, how strong man Mobutu took control and ruled the country for 30 years, Katanga rebellion, Samba rebels etc. - all described in vivid details. Great read!

Murder In Brentwood by Mark Fuhrman - OJ Simpson murder trial book by Mark Fuhrman who was one of the very first cops to arrive at the crime scene and do initial investigation. Very well written.

Past Lives, Present Miracles: The Most Empowering Book on Reincarnation You'll Ever Read...in this Lifetime! by Denise Linn - A westerner's take on past lives, future lives, rebirth, reincarnation etc. After the author went through near death experience after having been shot by a thief, she is supposed to have developed skills to regress back into past lives and use information gleaned from past lives to fix problems of present lives. Interesting perspective. If it appeals to you, the author conducts workshops on how to regress back to past lives :) You can also become Certified Past Life Regression Expert :)

WAR DOG: Fighting Other People's Wars -The Modern Mercenary in Combat by Al J. Venter - This is one amazing high octane and high voltage book. Author Al Venter coupes up with mercenaries fighting civil wars in West Africa (mainly Sierra Leone) and chronicles their lives and gory details of the war. Pretty graphic and scary and disturbing at times. But, that's how it was in West Africa. There is a movie called 'Blood Diamonds' on the same subject. Watch the movie and read the book, you will get full picture of senseless human greed and its ugly manifestations. If you think wars are fought by soldiers loyal to one or the other country or a group, read this book to understand the full details about mercenary business. No wonder future wars are going to be fought by free lancers.

Cheers!
