A brigadier, dismissed for selling army liquor in the open market, on Tuesday leveled several charges against the force, including an allegation that intelligence officials were helping Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence agents 'for considerations'.

R P Singh, who was court-martialed in 2005, did not give any evidence to back his claims.

He also claimed that honest officers who tried to report irregularities in the army were being punished and trapped in 'fake cases'.

Singh said that in July 2005, three army intelligence personnel had accompanied an army officer's son to offer sweets to Babbar Khalsa terrorist Jagtar Singh Hawara while he was held at Chanakyapuri police station.

On the navy war room leak, Singh said it was surprising that Ravi Shankaran, a kin of Navy chief Admiral Arun Prakash, was 'allowed' to escape to Britain.

'The Central Bureau of Investigation should go for the bigger fish instead of homing in on the small fry.'

An Interpol Red Corner Notice has been issued at the behest of CBI for Shankaran, whose passport has been revoked by the government. Singh said several incidents depicting the 'maladies' affecting the army were included in his book 'Indian Army - No more a holy cow' which will be released in three months."
