A new crime novel, Gangster’s Queen, will be serialized here on the blog starting 20 May 2025. One chapter will be published every week.
Set in the underbelly of Mumbai’s crime world, the story follows Maya Sharma—a young woman who’s dragged into a dangerous game of power, betrayal, and survival. From jail cells to hidden secrets, from the shadows of the underworld to the men who rule it, Maya’s journey is anything but ordinary.
If you enjoy fast-paced crime fiction with twists, flawed characters, and a strong central arc, this one’s for you.
This is my first full-length novel. It was written over a long stretch of time, whenever life allowed. Feedback—especially if you spot plot holes, factual errors, or anything that feels off—is most welcome. I may not revise the plot, but I will make corrections for sure.
Here’s what the story is about:
Maya Sharma is young, ambitious, and desperate to make it in Mumbai’s cutthroat world of modeling and Bollywood. She thinks she’s found a shortcut—Arjun Malik, a powerful underworld figure who offers her protection, comfort, and maybe even a shot at the big time. But Maya doesn’t know that Arjun isn’t the real power. That title belongs to someone else—Inspector Rajesh Rathore, Mumbai’s most feared encounter cop, the man who controls the city’s crime scene from behind a badge.
When the game shifts and Arjun is marked for elimination, Maya becomes the bait. One call. One message. And her world explodes.
Arjun is executed before her eyes. Maya is branded a criminal, thrown into jail, left to rot while men settle scores outside. But inside those prison walls, Maya doesn’t break. She watches. Learns. Survives. And waits.
What begins as fear slowly turns into fire.
She escapes. Goes underground. Finds allies in the most unexpected places. And hunts for the only thing that can flip the script—a buried trail of secrets that powerful men killed to hide.
Now, she’s not running. She’s chasing.
What happens when a woman who’s lost everything decides she wants it all back?
They tried to erase her. What they created instead was a storm.
